I was a bit young to show an interest when it was on. However, read the book last year and it was a great read. Will make an effort to watch it now I think

Excellent drama and brilliant soundtrack from Clannad. And yes .... Charlie from Casualty ...but you should also watch the Long Good Friday for gritty drama (on film), excellent music and ..... Charlie from Casualty !!!! A must see!!!

Yes.

Usually when you revisit tv shows you thought were good as a kid they always seem really shit, but HG is a fucking good bit of drama.

And the music definitely added to the atmosphere of it.

I vaguely remembered it as a kid, just watched it again on DVD.
Still very good, despite some very dodgy Norn Iron accents.

Also the debut of Charles Lawson aka Jim McDonald before Corrie or The Firm.

And Linda Robson was quite foxy in those days.
